What are the best headphones to completely block out sound for my project?

Hi! The past couple of weeks I've been hearing (no pun intended) about deaf people. i decided I'm going to put on headphones for an entire week and see if my other senses improve and what it feels like to be in a silent world. I only have a cheap set of headphones, they can't block out noise so well. I want to find headphones that can block out all noises but don't cost a million dollars. Any brands I should look into? Thanks!

1. The only phones I can suggest are those that are sound canceling.
   
   
   
   However, better performing sound-canceling headphones will cost you. But, even the very best sound-canceling headphone will not completely eliminate noises.
   
   
   
   You may have better luck along with spending less money by using earplugs augmented with ear protectors. But, wearing these things for one week will not be comfortable and could risk injury. These things are meant to protect your hearing for limited duration.
   
   
   
   And, even then, you may still hear things via bone conduction; you can only be truly deaf if the cilia in your inner ear are damaged, and that injury can be permanent so I would not advise you to deliberately become deaf that way.
   
   
   
   Before you do anything, you will have to consult with an audiologist before you really risk your hearing.
2. better bet would be ear plugs from a sport shop the type for use on a shooting range very cheap. for more money you can look for headphones in the garden department of Home Depot type store.
3. WHy do you want headphones? Just go to the pharmacy and get ear plugs. They only cost a buck or two.
